Why Customization Matters More Than Ever

  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by John Lundsted: My experience with lumina solar was very positive. They did a good job hitting each bench mark. The only negative comments I had was that I did not have a final meeting to review the final installation and no one let me know I needed to change my energy carrier in order to get thing started. They did a good job and answered any questions I have/had. I would recomend them.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Matthew Cawthorne: I was really excited with the idea of getting a rooftop PV system, and Lumina had really good reviews. Their price was nearly identical to another very highly rated company in my area and I liked the look of the REC panels so we went with Lumina. During the initial sizing I proposed a symmetric configuration that was pleasing to the eye and was told 'we can discuss the exact configuration during the engineering phase'. Well, I was never contacted until all of the approvals were complete and at that point it was too late to get the configuration that I wanted. The Lumina configuration was unsymmetric and had 1 fewer panel on the highly productive south facing roof. It was not the end of the world, but I take pride in the aesthetics of my house. In the end I was able to get them to make it symmetric, but with the one less panel in the good orientation. The biggest problem, however is that the panels on the front of the house are in a nearly ideal orientation, facing almost south, and with a roof pitch that is good for this latitude. The 400+ watt panels are oriented well enough that they should be able to generate close to 400 watts during the middle of the day (cloud cover permitting). Lumina specified and installed 300 watt inverters so those panels never produce more than 300 watts. Instead of a sine wave for production I get a curve that is clipped flat on top. 300 watt inverters are ok for the back of the house where the sun angles are not as ideal and the panels cannot produce as much power, but not for the front. So why am I giving them 4 stars? Well, their Operations department that scheduled and performed the installation did a really good job and were a delight to work with. The workmanship is really good and everything has been functioning for the first 16 months of operation. There were no surprises in the pricing.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Weather 1: What a fabulous experience with Courtney and Lumina. There were so many steps but Courtney guided me thru them all . The did my roof replacement also . Everyone was very professional and I had every question answered and explained to me. Thank you Courtney!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Jessica Ott: We researched many solar companies and received quotes from several. We decided to use Lumina because of their price and the product itself was better. Our sales rep, Courtney, was amazing to work with and very responsive. The entire process start to finish was very easy. Our solar panels were installed in March 2024 and so far we are very pleased with their production. April was our first full month using solar and we haven't paid our electric company for electric since March. We have produced enough electric with our solar panels. I am sure in the winter we will still have an electric bill, but if I only have to pay for electric for 4 or so months out of the year I am totally cool with that. We were paying Met-Ed $450+/month for electric! We are definitely pleased with our decision to go solar and use Lumina!! I highly recommend Courtney 🙂.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Chad S: After meeting with a number of solar providers over the years, the timing and circumstances were right for me to put my trust in Lumina Solar. Peter Hayes was our consultant and provided a clear, easy to understand proposal. The projection software empolyed by Lumina is informative allowed us to make a decision based on multiple levels of data. Peter employs a low pressure approach and was willing to make sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed throughout the entire process. He took extra steps and allowed us to see real time production data of actual Lumina systems in our area. The comparison of the actual production statistics to their pre-project projections provided an extra layer of confidence to go solar. The install team was prompt, professional and took extra care with the alignment of the panels and aesthetics of the electrical system. We are over our one year mark with Lumina and our system has produced as predicted, even better! If you are considering solar, consider Lumina!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Scott Jensen: Very impressed with these guys especially Peter! Even though they didn’t installed a system for me they communicated extremely well and were willing to work with me.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Wesley Satterwhite: I don’t even know where to begin. The last time I had such attentive customer service, I was flying first class on Emirates to Dubai! Lumina Solar really knows how to take care of their customers. From there very beginning, my project manager Steve Coffman, has been there. He answered any all questions and explained the process from start to finish. A separate contractor came to but a new roof on my house before I had my panels installed and they pulled some of the electric lines down near my home; Steven came over weekend and personally fixed it. One of my trees was blocking some of the panels after installation; the VP paid to have it removed. It’s very rare these days to have such attentive and personalized service l. If you are even thinking about a solar company, this is THE one.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by melissa olsen: We reached out to multiple companies about installing a rather large system on our property. Not only was Lumina competitively priced they offered the best warranty. From the first interaction with our sales rep (Phillip Jordan) we knew we were in good hands. He has consistently gone above and beyond for us (even after our installation was complete) and I cannot recommend working with him enough. There were a few hiccups in communication throughout the process but Phillip (and Lumina) were quick to resolve everything. Everyone who worked on our project at our home treated it like their own home. They knew a clean install was important to us, and the final result shows it. You can't ask for much more out of any contractor. We are extremely pleased with not only the system, but their service from start to finish, and cannot recommend them enough. In the event we need to add onto our current system, we will be reaching out to them again.
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Chad Haggerty: Update - Lowering Rating as I continue to wait for batteries to be installed.. My Original Quote was to also install 2 Telsa batteries - due to back order issues I went ahead with the panel installation on the assumption that the batteries would soon follow (Dec-Jan), Well it is Mid March and getting a status or update on batteries has been challenging and I still have no time table... The frustration and disappoint is growing and my perception of a very Customer Centric Company is dwindling... I would highly recommend Lumina Solar! They were very clear and responsive through the entire process. The installers did a great job and they were all very nice and very professional!!! Everyone at Lumina was nice and professional. Thank to the entire team and especially Philip for a smooth and accommodating process!
  • Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lehigh County Pennsylvania by Greg Schnaar: Great experience, everything went smoothly and Lumina has been very communicative throughout. I highly recommend this firm.
